  • Phosphate plays a vital role in balanced nutrition of plants. Most of Indian soils are low to medium in their available P content and requires external application of P for good harvest.
  • When DAP and SSP is applied to the soil only about 30 % of phosphorus is used by the plants, while the rest is converted to forms which cannot be used by plants and some phosphorus is leached out with water.
